🖐️ Hi! I’m Pam, wildlife ecologist, data analyst, and advocate for professional biology. I’m also your host here at Wildlife.Fish
As a Registered Professional Biologist much of my work over the past 20 years has been as project leader and liaison in multi-stakeholder collaborations focused on ecology and management strategies for Stone’s sheep, bighorn sheep, and mountain goats. Most recently my work is addressing cross-disciplinary approaches to community-based fish and wildlife research, bridging the gap between science and the public.
As Vice-President of the Association of Professional Biology, I promote and support the advancement of our profession. If you are a biologist in western Canada, ask me why I think this is important! 😃
My husband is also a Registered Professional Biologist so we are doubly invested in our careers and projects. We are also oddly entertaining to our neighbours.
Knowing what we do for a living, and occasionally watching us squeeze a variety of animal parts into our plethora of tissue sample storage freezers, our noisy and nosy neighbour came over with a gift:
An oversized black t-shirt with bold white print.
It said: “I’m the quiet neighbour with the really big freezers”
Tru dat. 😂
