Hope We Don’t Meet

We managed trail cameras to monitor mountain goat use of forested trails and mineral licks in the remote northern British Columbia Ospika River valley. Goats weren’t the only regulars on the trails.

We met a few of the local grizzlies in person but thankfully the biggest of ’em only made camera appearances.

The science geek statistics nerd in me wants to use the data to calculate probability of a bear encounter on the trails, but that wasn’t the point of the project. I have other stats puzzles to take care of first.
