Beaverhill Bird Observatory

The Beaverhill Bird Observatory monitors migratory bird populations near Tofield, northern Alberta. Volunteers assist professional bird banders working at the station each summer.

This station is part of The Canadian Migration Monitoring Network – Réseau canadien de surveillance des migrations (CMMN-RCSM) which defines migration monitoring as any standardized program of sampling migrants, by capture or observation, that is repeated daily and annually and has the capacity to contribute scientifically meaningful data that further the understanding of bird migration ecology in Canada.
